Harvest Installations, the Kent-based grain drying and storage specialist was founded in 1983 to market the Harvest Constant Humidity Controller, which had been designed and perfected over the previous years.

Today we market an extensive range of equipment, including the Harvest Maxi-Stirrer and a comprehensive range of drying, conditioning and extraction fans.

In 2005 the company's future was assured when husband and wife team, Mike and Jackie Wilson took control of the business.

Mike Wilson had joined the company in 1996, after considerable experience in the fixed equipment business, where he sold and installed many products from the Harvest Installations range.

The machine that the company was initially set up to market still accounts for a considerable percentage of the turnover. In the past few years units have become larger with higher outputs, burners now feature in temperature drying systems in conjunction with the Maxi-Stirrer and multiple high output units are supplied for onion drying stores.

Installations in larger bulk stores have led to various design innovations which we have introduced over the past few years which include side-entry buildings, internal fan houses and air extraction to name but a few.

Harvest's large warehouse at Faversham holds considerable stocks of fan units and burners and also houses the assembly area for the Constant Humidity Controllers.

We also recognise that a reliable spares and back up service is essential and a comprehensive spares stock is held for both burner and stirrer units.

Technical advice is available from an engineer by telephone, while service engineers are available to carry out on-site servicing and repair work.

The key is being able to provide products that are cost-effective and not labour intensive, namely bulk stores with fast intake and guaranteed drying that are designed to meet each customer's individual requirements.
